getting some real slick tycho vibes from this, great work.

TsetsukenMusic responds:

This may be the first time I have made a song that can resemble a style from someone really awesome such as Tycho. Thank you! I didnt see it before but you might have given me my first influence for further songs. I really enjoy music like this/Tycho.

Drums are sick.
Production is near perfect.
Key changes every ten seconds are kinda distracting and make the song feel really fragmented like you've just spliced about fifteen songs into one.

The individual sections are stunningly beautiful, its just the way they have been stitched together takes a lot out of it.

Bosa responds:

Ha, this is quite an old song compared to my new stuff. Thank you for the review!

some really nice melodies going on here mate, and the vocal harmonies sound sick.
good production as always.. though thats barely even mentioning at this point :P

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Cheers mang! glad you dug!!

I'm flattered that you liked my track seven circles, but you really should have asked before you completely ripped it off. or at least listed my as inspiration for the track. its a pretty irregular chord progression, this can't have been an accident.

SoulSecure responds:

Lol what? Mate, this song was inspired by lounge music in general, it's what I talked to you about in PMs. You inspired me on finding a rhodes/wurlitzer VST, because I hadn't taken the initiative to find one before. This is a very average progression and I have a couple of unfinished (trash) songs that sound annoyingly similar.

Anyway, just had a listen at seven circles and it is totally the same exact same friggan chords. I did not consciously 'rip you off', but our songs do sound different in the end.

can't beat 7/4 time it has so much more bounce than most other time sigs

Beartheshadows responds:

Agreed. I'm not too familiar with it, hence this song. I still love 4/4. It's so natural and 6/ has such a groove to it.

the chord progression here is great i particularly enjoy the phrasing of the chords
im feeling a pixies or a toadies vibe from this as well and thats always a good sign
i wouldn't say its poppy its just a little too upbeat to be straight grunge id say its leaning towards alternate rather than grunge, who cares what genre it is, its a good song either way
five starts for saying giggedy

Gunshy responds:

*thumbs up* Thanks!

i'v never heard of chipstep in my life and thought it would be awful to be honest
but this is brilliant, its really upbeat and bouncy, and i dont find it repeative at all
the tempo change at 2:00 minutes is pretty rough but tempo changes can be a a nightmare i know
and the drum and bassy part afterwards is well worth it
this is really impressive

conorstrejcek responds:

Thanks for the review!

I just heard about chipstep for the first time a couple weeks ago, so I'm glad you like my take on it. I'll try to work on my tempo changes more in the future, I did it pretty quickly so hopefully I'll improve for next time.

Thanks again!

hey man
good song its one i've find myself coming back to quite a few times now
its got a really nice pop punk feel to it
id like to hear an electric version of this but a part of me feels like it would take away the integrity of the song because it has a lot of character as an acoustic piece and you have quite a soft spoken voice and i think that contributes to the general acoustic niceness too
is that a second guitar i hear at about one minute in?
if this is recorded on a multitrack i'd put some compression on that and maybe turn the high end of the eq up because it kind of gets lost in the bass end of your rhythm guitar
i like the kind of half talking line at about three minutes inits very Jarvis cocker and thats hard to pull of without sounding like a dick and you've done it so well done haha

Karmakosm responds:

Wow. I appreciate the review a whole ton. Feel free to download it and see if you can spot the difference! I was considering an electronic version when I'm not just recording in my bedroom, but probably not for a while.

whats wrong with tuesdays?
and good song sounds like alice in chains meets some djentcore band

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Tuesdays and I, have a bad track record.
Cheers for the review, glad you dig it.

i refuse to believe that you are anything other than a cheater, your music takes up the first sixteen slots on the front page for this genre despite the fact that all you seem to do is covers with moderately awful recording quality, i also believe you upvote yourself and downvote anybody in the top half of the front page that isn't you, i'm not condemning you i am just stating that its a coincidence but if i am right you have to stop because its unfair on everybody else.
your song isnt bad either btw

Stereocrisis responds:

Well, I don't down vote people. I give myself 5's. Sure. Who doesn't? A hollow victory, yes. I hope you can forgive my want to be heard. I don't have money to pay for production quality, let alone promotion.
